How Does Derozan Feel After Losing to Lebron Again
At this point a few of you lot may be wondering "Why tf does this kid keep making blogs nigh DeMar DeRozan and The Raptors?". Well merely hear me out considering this won't be ALL about DeRozan. I'one thousand going to be talking about another underrated MVP candidate likewise as rank my MVP favorites as of at present.
As a lot of you may know The Raptors are LOSING. Losing to teams they shouldn't be losing to similar Orlando, Charlotte, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Phoenix, etc. And if I'chiliad beingness edgeless I really don't call up they should exist losing to even Boston. A lot have accounted to their contempo lackluster defense (which is a huge part of information technology). Others have blamed information technology on certain players like Jonas and Lowry (which actually is far from the truth). I firmly believe all the same it'due south the contempo loss of DeMar DeRozan and his injured ankle. For those who don't know DeRozan has missed a number of games during this streak due to his talocrural joint. But I must let readers know this streak also started when Patrick Patterson (Power Forward) saturday a number of games due to an injury of his own. Who the superior actor is, however is obvious. DeRozan has also been in and out for a picayune while at present. Even so he missed out in their latest game (and loss) against Orlando just yesterday. They've gone 2-3 of their final five games without DeRozan which is a noticeable modify. Earlier I say what I'grand nearly to say I have to make it known only how huge of a Kyle Lowry fan I am. I firmly believe he's the best PG in the East, over Kyrie Irving, Isaiah Thomas, John Wall and others. I've fifty-fifty tried to make the instance that Lowry is better than Westbrook (cardinal give-and-take: TRIED). Merely the fact of the affair is, DeRozan is a bigger asset to Toronto and is currently the superior actor. And this streak makes that articulate. This streak also makes it clear that without DeRozan, the Raptors are at a loss (run across what I did there?). That is a true showing of an MVP. Every time I bring up DeRozan as MVP someone dismisses it because "He has a slap-up supporting cast". And while I tin can't deny that Lowry, JV, Patterson, and Caroll are all assets they're simply not winning without him. And equally a result the Celtics have now taking their crown as the 2nd seed in the Eastern Confrence. At present this is my prediction. DeRozan is going to come up back, first a game FULLY healed (discounting that game confronting Orlando) and is going to bear witness out. Inside a matter of games they will speedily dethrone the Celtics and rightfully merits their title as second in the Due east.
Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen I present to y'all the Pinnacle v MVP Candidates of the 2016/2017 season. Just to clarify MY definition of MVP. A player who brings what no other role player can bring to their squad. A player who proves through showings that their team could potentially win a lot less, and lose a lot more without them.
Honorable mentions:
These are the type of players that have MVP caliber talent but really merely take also many great players around them to truly exist called the MOST Valuable Player.
-Steph Curry, Draymond Dark-green and KD
I know I'1000 gonna grab heat for this only when you are the all-time team by far because you take multiple superstars it gonna be hard for me to have y'all as a true MVP.
-Anthony Davis
Anthony Davis could accept a instance for best actor. Just once more the all-time player in my opinion isn't the MVP. Davis has carried his more often than not horrible team to a respectable 12th in the West merely when James Harden, and Westbrook can carry their teams to a Playoff spot they and others are more deserving. I practise notwithstanding recollect he should win Defensive Player Of The Year.
-Kyle Lowry
I experience like I just bashed Lowry in what I just wrote and I hate that. Lowry should've won MVP last year over Back-scratch. Again I think MVP belongs to the person who did the most for their squad not the best player. Concluding season Warriors still had Klay Thompson, Draymond and Iggy while Lowry really only had DeRozan who wasn't as good a player as he is now. DeMarre Caroll and JV were Decumbent to injury, Patterson wasn't equally huge an asset as he is at present and Bissy just showed out during the Playoffs. Lowry was the Raptors saving grace terminal season kinda like DeRozan is for the Raptors are now and Lowry sure is one of them 2-manner guards.
i. James Harden
James Harden is literally the epitome of what I defined MVP as. Right now he's doing EVERYTHING for Houston. Tell me how does information technology make sense that Houston goes from being the 8th seed in the west with a Top ten Middle in the grade of Dwight Howard Forth with James Harden, loses Howard to Atlanta, then goes to 7th in the NBA with a relatively unchanged roster?! James Harden! That's how! Harden has been playing out of his mind! I watch a lot of basketball game channels on youtube and I retrieve one of my favorites, Mike Korzemba sums this up perfectly.
ii. Russell Westbrook
Russell freaking Westbrook. This guy just had his 25th triple double, has the nigh of all active NBA players including LeBron, the greatest athlete in the world and is currently the first player to boilerplate a triple-double since "The Large-O" Oscar Robertson. At this point the only other players Russell really has is Victor Oldapio who's only real asset is perimeter defence force, Enes Kanter who overall is pretty mediocre and Steven Adams the only one of the three thespian I merely mentioned is moderately adept (however at this indicate he has amazing unlocked potential). Russ, with these players is averaging x.three assists showing that he's truly turning these players into role players. OKC is currently 7th in the Due west.
iii. DeMar DeRozan
I just wrote a crap-ton about him only dang! Recently passed Chris Bosh for the Raptor with virtually points, averaging well-nigh thirty points (28.four to be exact) and recently ended a 4 game 30 point streak. For those saying that a nearly 6'eight baby-sit should be pulling in more rebounds that isn't exactly his chore. Especially when y'all have a player like JV on your team. However I want to remind people of his near triple-double games when he pulled in double digit rebounds with his season (and career) high being xiii rebounds.
4. Paul George
For those wondering, PG13 is the underrated MVP I was talking about. Unlike DeRozan I don't even recall I've heard Paul George mentioned every bit a candidate. With recent back-to-back 33 betoken games and defensive prowess I firmly think that PG is the 2nd best player in the East behind LeBron. Aside from Myles Turner who still hasn't fully developed into a superstar only yet, PG was the only superstar on the Pacers and has put them on his back for quite the while now.
5. LeBron James/Kawhi Leonard
Perhaps the only exceptions to my rule are these two. Withal I have them here for 2 separate reasons. For Kawhi he did what I thought would be incommunicable. He filled in the void that Tim left after he retired. And for many games Kawhi was the saving grace for the squad. For example before this season Greg Poppivich RIPPED the Spurs when they almost lost to the 4-11 Mavericks. Everyone knew the saving grace was Kawhi Leonard. And with the contempo news near the Cavs and their disgusting loss streak which continues to aggrandize LeBron and Kyrie are the only players to truly prove out.
